The landscape designer works with both landscape architect and civil engineering teams on multiple site development projects of varying natures through the United States. Our clients include federal, state, and municipal agencies; private developers; educational institutions; medical facilities; aviation clients; etc. The landscape designer will have a firm foundation in technical skills (planning, designing, AutoCAD, construction administration knowledge), an ability to communicate effectively across multiple demographics, and a positive attitude. The ideal candidate is an able leader, self-motivated, has excellent interpersonal abilities, organized, and dedicated. The landscape designer assists with the design and permitting process to create a successful project. Flexibility is key and an interest in varied project types is paramount. The landscape designer can expect to work in a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on office culture and collaboration.
Applicants should have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or the equivalent
- 0-2 years of professional experience as a landscape architect or equivalent
- Exceptional AutoCAD technical drawing and digital production skills
- Exceptional graphic presentation skills including hand drawing and high-quality illustrations
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering skills (Lumion, Sketchup, or similar preferred)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)
- Proven experience with construction detailing and construction documentation
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Professional oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Creative design sensibilities and attention to detail
- Knowledge of horticulture and regional plant material.
- Enthusiasm and a drive to exceed expectations
